May 2026, Xi'an – In the early summer, as the bells of International Museum Day rang, a dialogue on civilization and heritage unfolded at the Western Movie Museum. Recently, StarPath scholars were invited to participate in a special talk initiated by "Junxi Living Room" titled "Silk Road Light and Shadow · Civilizational Mutual Learning — From Kizil to Silk Road Art and the Fusion of East-West Civilizations." In this intellectual feast gathering art history PhDs, Western Regions scholars, and museum experts, students examined Silk Road civilization from unique perspectives, showcasing contemporary youth's deep concern for history and the future.

Kizil, as the core hub of the ancient Silk Road, was once the ultimate carrier of intertwined civilizations from the Central Plains, India, Persia, and Greece. At the event, students not only listened to experts' deep analyses of Silk Road art but also immersed themselves in the creation of painted gourds. By replicating classic elements of Kizil murals, those artistic symbols once dormant in history regained vitality under the young artists' brushes. This leap from theory to practice allowed students to deeply understand the core charm of civilizational fusion.
